Buttons Galore!

It's my little niece's first birthday soon and I wanted to share with you a Button Initial Name Picture that I've made for her new bedroom using an inexpensive photoframe and lots of buttons!

Project Recipe:
Paper and Card: Textured, DCWV, Vellum
Tools: Tonic Studios Layering Butterflies and Scallop Layering Squares, Grand Calibur, Silhouette Cameo
Embellishments: buttons, flatback pearls and crystals
Apologies for the quality of the images, photographing glass without glare is very difficult. Anyway, here's the close up of LUCIA's name.  To make this, I cut out Lucia's initials on my Silhouette Cameo from pink textured cardstock.

I stitched all the buttons with embroidery thread, as I felt it would have looked unfinished without this step. I also used my Layering Butterfly dies to cut butterflies from pink vellum which I accented with gems and flatback pearls.

I then die cut scalloped squares using my oh-so-useful scalloped layering squares from a pretty patterned cardstock from DCWV (Nursery Tales).

Here's one final look at this project, please do leave a comment and let me know what you think of it.
I'd like to enter this project into the following challenges:
