A Card for Mothering Sunday

Tomorrow is Mothering Sunday here in the UK, so I thought I would share the Mother’s Day Card I’ve made for my Mother.  Her name is Iris, so I was over-the-moon to have tracked down a second-hand Iris PSX Botanical Stamp.

This is the card that I made to go into my Card Box withTray (take a look at my tutorial on how to make this box set).

I stamped the image in Momento in London Fog, and coloured it in with Promarkers.  The card is stamped onto Oyster cardstock – I much prefer this to Ivory, much less yellow.

Of course, Mothers are life’s true diamonds, so my card had to have a bit of bling,  The die-cut flower detail is embellished with a Rhinestone button, and a card from me wouldn’t be complete without a Hat Pin – I’ve glittered the pearl head of this one for extra sparkle.

So, to finish, I thought I’d share a picture me and my lovely Mother, Iris.  Wishing all Mothers a Happy Mothering Sunday!
